Arriving at Emirates Stadium from City Centre

Emirates Stadium is located in North London, and the easiest way to reach the ground from central London is by tube or rail. See the public transport section for more details.

Arriving at Emirates Stadium by Public Transport

London Underground/Overground

The nearest London Underground/Overground stations are:

  • Arsenal station - Zone 2, Piccadilly Line, 3 min walk from stadium
  • Finsbury Park station - Zone 2, Victoria Line and Piccadilly Line, 12 min walk from stadium
  • Highbury & Islington station - Zone 2, Victoria Line and London Overground, 12 min walk from stadium

Many fans park at northern suburban stations before making their way in to the stations listed above. See the driving section for more information.

Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line) is EXIT ONLY after Arsenal matches, and eastbound trains WILL NOT call at the station before the match.

Arsenal station will be considerably busier than Highbury & Islington and Finsbury Park before and after the match.

A queuing system is place after the match on the side of Arsenal Station and Finsbury Park. Keep left for Arsenal, and right for Finsbury Park.

National Rail

London King's Cross station (KGX)

The station is located at Euston Road, NW1 2SA which is 3.5 miles from the stadium.

It offers the following services:

  • Great Northern services to North London, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire
  • Virgin Trains East Coast, Grand Central and First Hull Trains services to Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland

From King’s Cross St. Pancras fans can take the Piccadilly or Victoria Lines to the stations above. Selected routes into Kings Cross will also stop at Finsbury Park station, which leaves a short walk.

London Euston station [EUS]

The station is located at Euston Road, NW1 2AE which is 3.8 miles from the stadium.

It offers the following services:

  • Virgin Trains West Coast services to the West Midlands, Liverpool, Manchester, North Wales and Glasgow
  • London Midland services to Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire

From Euston fans can take the Victoria Line to Highbury & Islington or Finsbury Park underground stations.

Bus

Routes 30, 17, 91, 259 and 393 serve Holloway Road and Highbury Corner, both are close to the stadium.

Arriving at Emirates Stadium by Car

The stadium is served by the following main roads:

  • From North: A1, A503, M1; passing Edgware and Highgate
  • From South: A1; passing the City of London and Clerkenwell
  • From East: A12 & A406 onto A10; passing Stratford and Hackney
  • From West: A40, A501; passing through Central London

From City Centre

Emirates Stadium is northeast of Central London, outside of the Congestion Charge zone. Depending on which part of London you're coming through, you may approach the stadium from the A501 (Euston Road), passing Euston station and King’s Cross station. This road begins as Westway at North Kensington and runs through the city to become City Road in the east at Shoreditch.

Stadium Area

The stadium is located just off the A1 Holloway Road, which gets extremely congested on matchdays. Roads immediately surrounding the ground are private residential areas and as such are closed on matchdays.

Parking

Emirates Stadium is located in a busy residential area, and parking is limited. Road closures are implemented and the club does not provide parking with the exception of disabled supporters and matchday hospitality guests.

Many fans park at northern suburban stations such as co*ckfosters (Piccadilly Line) and Blackhorse Road (Victoria Line), then use the stations listed in the public transport section.

After spending 93 years at Highbury, Arsenal moved just down the road to the state-of-the-art Emirates Stadium in 2006.

The stadium holds over 60,000 fans, far exceeding the 38,000 capacity at Highbury, and the Gunners started life at the Emirates with club legend Dennis Bergkamp's testimonial on 22 July 2006.

Outside the ground is an impressive photo mural, the Spirit of Highbury, recognising many iconic players and managers to have graced the club's former home.
